Apple Pie Cake Roll Recipe

  • For the Cake
  • 120 ml of fresh milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp of vanilla sugar
  • 1+¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • For the Filling
  • 6 apples
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of crushed walnuts
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • For the Top Icing sugar


1- In a large pan, cook 6 grated apples with 34 cup of granulated sugar until boil dry.

2- Turn the stove off. Stir in 1/2 cup of crushed walnuts and 1 tsp of cinnamon.

3- Line an oven tray with parchment paper to keep the apple mixture from sticking to the tray.

4- Spread the apple mixture evenly on the tray.

5- For the cake batter: Beat 3 eggs with 1 cup of granulated sugar until whiten.

6- Add in 120 ml of fresh milk, 2 tsp of vanilla sugar, 2 tsp of baking powder and 1+%4 cup of all purpose flour. Whisk thoroughly.

7- Pour the cake batter over the apple filling.

8- Bake for about 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 175°C. Cover the cake with another layer of parchment paper and flip it upside down.

10- Peel the top layer of parchment paper off and roll the cake while it’s still warm. Set aside to cool completely.

11- Sift some icing sugar on top before serving. Enjoy!
